No booze at a wedding is unacceptable. I don’t even drink, and I never even considered not having an open bar at our wedding.

We had two open bars at ours, never hurts to be prepared.

I pushed to have an full bar at my wedding reception. In retrospect, I wish I hadn’t. Or actually, I wish I had had more self control, and more to eat. I got shitfaced at my reception.

The scene of the crime. That’s me in the dark glasses, drinking thumpers.

A wedding without Alcohol is a wedding I won’t be at.

Kinja'd!!!

Even if it’s my own.

I can’t judge. In 1990 I was wearing Blue tinted Aviators.

I was pretty deep into Robotech back then..

Our wedding was small enough that one covered it, but better safe than sorry!

My GF and i have talked about having a morning wedding with brunch afterwards. That way her teetotaler family won't be scandalized and those that really want it just whip up some irish coffee or mimosas!

I was best man at a dry wedding, surprising many guests. They put up with it, but the “oh shit” was strong.

Luckily, I was mobile, had money, and the store was close.

Definite tailgate action a little later as people would file out, then return all smiles. I suppose it did have a limiting effect on the amount imbibed (not a bad thing) but the cheer had been restored.
